“Cobra is an attitude towards life, towards art, and towards the reality of life.”
– Corneille (Corneille-Guillaume Cornelis van Beverloo)
This garment is named after the Dutch painter Corneille (1922 – 2010) who played a significant role in the Cobra movement. The movement was founded by him and other artists from Copenhagen, Brussels and Amsterdam and is an inspiration for Sjaak’s work. Another artist part of this movement was Karel Appel, also some of the Hul le Kes designs have been named after him due to the same reason.
This garment is made from an ecological 55% Hemp 45% Bio Cotton fabric, naturally dyed with Indigo Blue. Our bio fabrics are all GOTS certificated.
Please note that the Indigo blue will keep on giving off color for a while, so please do not sit on white furniture and wash it with like-colors during the first period.
Made at our Manufacturing Studio in Arnhem, the Netherlands.
