Marcel Duchamp (1887–1968) was a French-American painter, sculptor, and writer whose work fundamentally challenged the definition of art. He is best known for his “Readymades”, ordinary, manufactured objects selected and modified by the artist, shifting the focus from technical skill to intellectual conception. His approach to recontextualising existing materials aligns closely with the Hul le Kes philosophy of using post-consumer textiles, transforming discarded, everyday items into pieces of new value and meaning.

This T-shirt is part of the Collectable Series No. V. Each numbered piece is presented in a special, handcrafted textile pouch made in our Arnhem Recovery Studio. For this specific edition, the pouch itself serves as the Hul le Kes passport, carrying the unique details and numbering of the garment. Please note: the accompanying pouch cannot be washed.
