social
mission

pillar III of III

recovery through
craftsmanship

We see fashion not only as a product, but above all as a way to reconnect people, materials and society. As a social enterprise, the social mission of Hul le Kes carries equal weight to our circular and creative vision.

Recovery Studio

Within the Hul le Kes Recovery Studio, people facing mental or psychological challenges work on their personal recovery process. In a supportive environment, craftsmanship offers calm, rhythm and space for development.

Through restoration work, textile repairs and artisanal techniques, participants rediscover connection, daily structure and confidence in their own abilities. In this way, the Recovery Studio functions as a place of recovery for both people and textiles.

growing together

The Hul le Kes Studios provide work and learning opportunities for people facing barriers to employment, students and participants in reintegration programmes. We strive for a diverse group of participants, ranging from young to old and from all kinds of backgrounds.

We believe in an inclusive way of working in which talent, collaboration and personal growth are central. This creates a social ecosystem in which both people and materials regain their value.

Recovery Garden

Within the new Hul le Kes Recovery Garden, we cultivate dye plants and natural materials used in our dyeing processes. In doing so, we restore the connection between nature, textiles and craftsmanship.

Working in the garden offers calm, rhythm and involvement for participants throughout the entire making process. From plant to pigment, a slower and more conscious way of producing emerges, rooted in care for people and the environment.
