The Cocteau Sweater is a boxy-fit unisex sweater with a subtle raised collar, offering both comfort and character. Each piece features hand-stitched patchwork made from textile leftovers, telling a silent story of waste and recovery. Crafted in Portugal from surplus fabric and uniquely finished by hand in the Hul le Kes Recovery Studio, no two sweaters are the same, each one a wearable work of art.

This item is made from a surplus fabric consisting of 70% cotton and 30% polyester in the color Chestnut Brown*. Its patchwork has been handcrafted by the employees of the Hul le Kes Recovery Studio.

This piece is named after Jean Cocteau, the French artist known for his poetic and dreamlike works. Jean Cocteau (1889–1963) was a writer, filmmaker, and visual artist whose surreal style influenced generations. He collaborated with major figures like Picasso and Chanel. His multidisciplinary spirit aligns closely with the values of Hul le Kes.

Fit & Sizing

The Cocteau Sweater is worn in the photos by Luke. Luke is 185 cm (6’1”) tall and corresponds to European size 48 (US size 38). In the photos he is wearing a size 2 Cocteau Sweater.

Passport & packaging

Each Cocteau Sweater will get its own unique code and a matching Clothing Passport. Make sure to use the passport to create your personal narrative.

Are you done with the garment? We are always happy to receive old items back, especially if they are provided with their original passport. Or give the garment, including its passport, to your beloved friend or family member. But never forget: do not throw away your Hul le Kes garment.
