October 4th 2021 was the date Hul le Kes opened its Recovery Studio. Now, three years later, we adopted another social workplace, Studio 3, to become fully part of the Hul le Kes business operations. We are pioneers in sustainability and social responsibility within the fashion industry; specifically because of our circular and holistic approach. With this merger we are able to offer more trajectories for people with a distance to the labor market. It underlines Hul le Kes’ mission towards more sustainability and inclusivity within fashion.
At the beginning of this year we already gave shelter to the Studio 3 employees and assistant-makers, and a close relationship between them and our Recovery Studio evolved. At Hul le Kes we are known for our circular, sustainable and social designs; made at both our Recovery Studio and Manufacturing Studio in Arnhem. After successfully working together with Studio 3 for 9 months we decided to take over all employees and assistant-makers to become a true part of the Hul le Kes company.
This merger of companies means Hul le Kes is now giving room for over 45 social learning and working places for people with a distance to the labor market. All assistant makers and social workers from Studio 3 are now part of the Hul le Kes team. A next step towards a sustainable, circular, inclusive and social future; underlining the mission of Hul le Kes as a fashion brand.
The upcycled products made at the Hul le Kes Recovery Studio and Manufacturing Studio are available via our online shop, at our Flagship Store (Wezenstraat 5, Arnhem, NL) and via selected resellers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany and the USA.
