“I dedicated myself to my collection. I made it my life’s work. I am not an art collector. I am a museum.”
– Peggy Guggenheim
Peggy Guggenheim (1898–1979) was a visionary American art patron who championed modern art and gave many avant-garde artists their first stage. Fierce, eccentric and free-spirited, she curated with intuition and a deep belief in the transformative power of art. Her lifelong dedication to collecting makes her a natural muse for Hul le Kes.
