This October, Hul le Kes is honoured to share news of not one, but two prestigious award nominations. The Arnhem-based fashion house has been shortlisted for both the Modint Innovator Award and the Social Impact Award by the Fashion Pioneers Awards; two recognitions that underscore the brand’s mission to redefine what fashion can be.
These nominations celebrate the essence of Hul le Kes: a label that views clothing not simply as garments, but as tools for healing, storytelling, and transformation. In honour of this milestone, the Hul le Kes pop-up store in Amsterdam (Herenstraat 9) will remain open for one more week. Welcoming visitors until Sunday, October 19 2025, right in the centre of the city.
At Hul le Kes, design is never purely aesthetic; it’s a philosophical act, a way to shape a new system. A system rooted in circularity, social inclusion, and deep respect for craft. That vision has not gone unnoticed.
The Modint Innovator Award, issued by the Dutch trade association for fashion and textiles, celebrates groundbreaking ideas within the industry. Hul le Kes is nominated alongside SaXcell, Tex Tracer, Wolkat, and Brightfiber Textiles. Winners will be announced at the NEXT WEAVE event on October 29. From October 15, the public will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite.
Simultaneously, Hul le Kes is a nominee for the Social Impact Award, part of the Fashion Pioneers Awards by Mumster, supported by the Rabobank Foundation. This honour recognises pioneers who bring about meaningful societal change through fashion. Fellow nominees include Yumeko, BORO x Atelier, Kantamanto Social Club, and United Repair Centre. The award ceremony will take place on November 28, with a public voting component available on the Fashion Pioneers Awards website.
These recognitions affirm what many of you have already experienced: that Hul le Kes is building something quietly radical; where fashion becomes a means of social healing and sustainable change.
Originally planned as a four-day event, the Hul le Kes pop-up store in Amsterdam has received an enthusiastic response. Located at Herenstraat 9, the space has attracted both long-time admirers and curious newcomers, eager to learn more about the stories woven into each garment.
With so many meaningful conversations and visitors over the past days—and now with our award nominations as added cause for celebration—we’ve decided to extend the store’s opening through Sunday, October 19.
This is a unique chance to step into the world of Hul le Kes: to touch the fabrics, hear the stories, and connect with a vision that goes far beyond the seams.
