Those who are familiar with Hul le Kes know we collaborate with Yumeko. Just like Hul le Kes, the founders of Yumeko dreamed of launching an ethical brand on the market, to demonstrate that sustainable business models are profitable and that consumers can bring about real change in society. We now love to introduce the just co-produced Treasure Pouches: Little folded pouches to cherish and keep your jewelry and other treasures in.
This upcycled jewelry organizer from Yumeko x Hu le Kes is designed by Sjaak. Yumeko is a Japanese girl’s name consisting of the words Yume and Ko. Together they mean ‘dream child’ or ‘dream girl’. Knowing this, Sjaak was inspired by Japanese orgami art for the little Treasure Pouches, made from residual stock of Yumeko bed linen for this exclusive collaboration.
This way, their 100% organic, GOTS and Fairtrade certified cotton wast turned in a precious item, gets a good destination and we prevent waste. Thanks to its handy size, the Yumeko x Hu le Kes jewelry organizer is undoubtedly your new travel buddy. You keep your own treasures beautiful and ensure that the planet becomes a bit more beautiful – what’s not to love?
The Treasure Pouches are available in our Store and online shop as well at Yumeko
Yumeko’s Fairtrade quality mark focuses on the small cotton farmers in India with whom they work. Our cotton is purchased under fair trade conditions, allowing farmers to take their future into their own hands. The fair price gives them the space to work on environmental improvements and social progress, such as education for their children.
The Treasure Pouches are made in our Manufacturing Studio. A breeding ground for young talent where our regular staff members work together with students as well as people with a distance to the labor market to create unique and upcycled products. The studio, formerly known as Studio Ryn, was founded by Sjaak Hullekes and Sebastiaan Kramer in collaboration with Rijn IJssel (the local institute for vocational education).
We think these collaborations and products make the world a better place.
In our webshop and store you are able to find garments made from upcycled Yumeko bedding fabrics. In our upcoming spring summer 2024 you will find even more products made of these beautiful biological cotton textiles.
