“Truth exists; only lies are invented.”
– George Braque
This garment is a homage to George Braque (1882–1963), the French artist who co-founded Cubism together with Pablo Picasso. Starting out in Fauvism, Braque soon shifted towards a radical abstraction of form and space, paving the way for one of modern art’s most transformative movements. His quiet, analytical style and focus on structure echo through the values of Hul le Kes, where traditional craft is reimagined through a contemporary, artistic lens.
