Hul le Kes challenges fast fashion by combining creativity, sustainability, and social impact. Through workshops, upcycling, and innovative studios, we show that fashion can be both meaningful and mindful. This weekend, we hosted a workshop for Weekendschool Leuk om te Leren, teaching children from groups 7 and 8 how to repair and personalize their clothing. By inspiring young minds, we aim to shape a future where textiles are valued, not wasted—a message also highlighted in the recent NPO2 program Expeditie Nederland, where our work in sustainability and recovery was featured.

At Hul le Kes, we believe that sustainability is for everyone. Whether you’re young or old, a fashion enthusiast or not, textiles are part of your life—and so are the consequences of how they are used and wasted. That’s why we aim to spread awareness as widely as possible, engaging in conversations that transcend the typical boundaries of sustainable fashion.
What sets Hul le Kes apart from other sustainable brands is our holistic approach. We combine social impact, upcycling, mental health, and craftsmanship to create what we believe is the true pathway to systemic change. This multifaceted effort is the only way to ignite the renaissance our industry so desperately needs.
Finally, we’d like to share an update on our crowdfunding campaign. While we’ve temporarily put the campaign on hold, we’re working on a refreshed version that will focus even more on our international activities. Stay tuned—our renewed crowdfunding campaign will launch by the end of this week, and we’re excited to share the next steps with you.
Thank you for being part of our journey to make the world of fashion more sustainable, inclusive, and impactful. Whether through workshops with children, inspiring TV features, or community-driven campaigns, we’re committed to making a difference—together.
Last but not least: do not forget our Gems of Arnhem event, next weekend at our store!
