Leck pillow case 01 - 45 x 45 cm
The Leck Pillow Cases are always different as they are made from smaller pieces of Antique Linens from France. Not one pillow will look the same, but always match the other when you like more than one on your bed, sofa or chair. At our Hul le Kes Recovery Studio the pillow cases get their hand stitching. Each stitch will look different as they are applied by hand by different people. After all pieces are sewn together the cushion case is finished at our manufacturing studio in Arnhem, The Netherlands.

Bart van der Leck
Our Leck garment bears the name of Dutch artist Bart van der Leck (1876 – 1958). The son of a housepainter, Van der Leck eventually wrote for art magazine ‘De Stijl’. With his own artwork, using lines and simplified shapes in black, yellow, red and blue, he even influenced fellow painter Mondriaan. Van der Leck passed away in his studio in 1958, sitting at his easel. Having been employed by the company Müller & Co, the famous Kröller-Müller museum now has a big collection of van der Leck’s work. The museum coincidentally, is located very close by to the Hul le Kes studio.
