Hul le Kes
Kapoor Tunic
Our Kapoor tunic is inspired by sculptors’ wear. It’s slightly oversized and invites you to go and make something. This garment is out of upcycled cotton bedding. This molton cotton comes from our dutch recycling partners.
This garment is dyed with natural ingredients such as Walnut, Galnut and Dewclaw. We choose to use what is already there, and produce our garments to order.
The Kapoor is made here in our studio, by hand. Due to its limited production, this item comes with its own registration number as well as a Hul le Kes passport.
"Artists don’t make objects. Artists make mythologies."
Anish Kapoor
This tunic is named after the Indian born British sculptor Anish Kapoor. Initially studying electrical engineering, Kapoor quit and left for Israel. There he decided to pursue art, he left Israel and attended Hornsey College of Art and Chelsea College of Arts. He’s lived in London ever since. His works are often biomorphic and have grown in scale along the length of his career. In 2013 he received knighthood for his services to visual arts.
At Hul le Kes we do not focus on a particular gender. Therefore we work with our own size chart. Our sizes range from 0 to 5. When a garment is a one size fits all, it’s sized as A.
This tunic is a one size fits all, A.
