RNTD x Hul le Kes
Baby Onesie Long Sleeve
This Onesie is part of the Gray Label x Hul le Kes collection. Dyed with natural colors and mended at our Hul le Kes Recovery Studio.
ONE OF A KIND. SIZE: 6 - 9 MONTHS*
Initially this garment was made for use in Gray Label’s RNTD service, but of course renting out a garment will not last forever. With the collaboration between Hul le Kes and Gray Label we want to extend the lifespan of these little garments a little bit more.
Gray Label RNTD is an answer to the usually short lifespan of children’s garments. Instead of being discarded when a child outgrows one, items are sent back, cleaned and sent to the next child. All Gray Label RNTD garments are made from GOTS certified cotton.
Now, when items show signs of wear or tear. They get sent to us.
We patch them, stitch them, and dye them with organic waste.
We do this by hand, using leftover fabric from our own production.
Ensuring a circular cycle.
“GRAY LABEL X HUL LE KES SHOWS THE POSSIBILITIES FOR CHANGE IN THE SYSTEM OF FASHION. SETTING A WORKABLE, SUSTAINABLE EXAMPLE WITH FUTURE GENERATIONS IN MIND”
We see collaborations and garments like these as the future of fashion.
Since they are mended by hand, and dyed with natural pigments, all items in this collection are one of a kind. The garments are not only comfortable to wear, they make a statement to show a different paradigm on fashion.
For more garments go to our Gray Label x Hul le Kes page or go to gray-label.com for yet another selection of our garments.
*please note: the mentioned size is the garment’s original size. Due to washing it could be smaller than before. We advise you to buy a bigger size than you would normally buy the garment to make sure your child will fit the garment.
COLOR & WEAR
The colors of this item will indeed fade after a while; when that happens you are able to dye it again yourself. For example: when an item is getting too pale you throw it in a pan with onion peels and your baby’s garment becomes yellow. We also offer a Hul le Kes Dyeing Service, so you can let us dye your clothes over and over again to extend the lifespan of your garments.
Next to our Dyeing Service we will soon start with a Hul le Kes Mending Service. As soon as your garments show bits of wear we will repair your garment by hand. We will do so in our Hul le Kes Recovery Studio; a recovery studio for both people and textiles.
