Help us to harvest the flax

As part of the Shared Stewardship we are growing flax together with a group of 30 stewards. Together we share the care and responsibilities of the entire process from flaxseed to linen. To be able to harvest we are inviting our friends to help us on the fields. Would you like to join us?

Together with our co-stewards we explore what it means to grow, process and craft our everyday resources in community with each other and with nature.

These weeks the harvesting will start. To harvest we invite all who is interested to take part of the harvest activities. The harvest will take place at Ekoboerderij de Lingehof in Randwijk (Gelderland, the Netherlands). On the following dates:

Friday July 31, Saturday August 1, Friday August 7 and Saturday August 8 2020.

We will work in 1,5 hour blocks to get enough breaks and time to meet each other. Please find here the time blocks:

Due to COVID-19 it is needed to tell us who is coming up front. Due to the same reason we also ask you to bring your own drinks and food.

This Shared Stewardship is part of the Linen project, a project founded by ArtEZ practice held in common and Crafts Council Nederland. Together with other stewards Hul le Kes takes part of this project and will use the linen in its products.
