As philosopher Roland Barthes suggested, fashion journalism has shaped and perhaps even created the concept of fashion and its symbolic value. Through time, fashion functions as guidance, leading people to elevate themselves to achieve an ‘ideal appearance.’ And with the rise of neoliberalism and the centralising of individuals, nowadays, fashion journalism and fashion brands seem to be focusing more on people’s ‘inner-selves.’

In the last couple of months we have been busy setting up all necessary arrangements to bring this new part of our company alife. The Hul le Kes Recovery Studio is a place to heal both people and textiles. Together with many partners we are able to start this new project to get products and people back into our society.
